People using computer for more than two hours a day will have to face the suffering of Computer Vision Syndrome. This is associated with the symptom with the people who use computer for many hours every day, and people who are more users of iPod and iPhones for hours in a day. The common symptom which helps to detect the syndrome is dry or irritated eyes, fatigue, eye strain and headaches.
There is a way to keep the eye away from strain; these simple tips are as follows.
- The 20/20/20 rule is if you are sitting in front of the electronic device for hours like computer than for every 20 minutes; spend twenty seconds looking twenty feet’s away to give rest to your eyes.
- Blink your eyes often while sitting in front of the electronic eyes as the blinking will water your eyes and will help your dry eyes to relax. Tears are the natural therapy for your eyes. You need to blink at least four to five times while sitting in the front of your computer in an hour.
- You need to place your computer in proper location, optimally the screen of the computer should be 15 to 20 degrees below eye level as measured from the center of the screen and it should be away at least 20 to 28 inches away from the eyes.
- There should be proper lighting as this will ease your eyes from strain. There should be bright light overhead to a minimum position, it should be at the position from the desk lamp to shine on your desk and it should not shine at you. The computer screen should not reflect or it should not glare from windows or overhead lights.

That’s very informative and fruitful information.
